Searching for Art in South America

In September of 2007 after graduating with my MFA, my boyfriend and I decided to travel to South America for two months in search of Contemporary Art Making and Artesania.  Along the way I created watercolors and drawings of locations we visited.

Found Frames

During this trip one of my favorite discoveries were the numerous windows or frames cut into construction sites as if to let passersby view the building project.  From there on, I begin to recognize all sorts of unintentional framing devices in the cities and towns we visited. I continued this series as I returned home.
