Culture, traditions, and rituals of my family are a ​series of small impressionistic paintings hung in a grid that are are based on images from family photographs and are painted in a square format to reference the polaroid. They are selected because of the manner in which the image represents the culture, traditions, and rituals of my family and community, that I can identify as existing in the past or present.

Additionally I have expanded this project to include small gouache paintings that are based on found photos.
